I was impressed with the integrity of the office, with Dr. Pasquinelli's skill and willingness to explain things to me. I gratefully and eagerly endorse him!

- Does insurance cover everything?
No, sadly dental insurance does not cover everything in dentistry. You usually have an annual maximum of $1000 to $2500. Many dental insurance companies cover the majority of services but tend to exclude dental implants. We will be happy to send in a pre-determination claim to your insurance to find out what amount you will be reimbursed in advance of treatment. Just inquire with your treatment coordinator.
We also have lots of payment options available, as seen above.
Our team is happy to make insurance claims on your behalf so your insurance carrier can reimburse you directly.
- Do I need more x-rays?
Although we contact your referring doctor to have them share your x-rays with us, sometimes additional or special images are needed. We will talk with you about these at your first visit and answer any questions you may have.
- Will I have to have surgery?
Our experienced team aims to treat periodontal disease with non-surgical techniques. However, in more severe cases you may need surgery. When this is the case, rest assured you are in expert hands and our office is equipped with sedation options to help make you as comfortable as possible.
- When do I go back to my general dentist?
We work very closely as a team with your general dentist and any other specialists involved in your case. Often during treatment, you will alternate between your general dentist and our office for cleanings and check-ups.
Our goal is to get you back to your general dentist as soon as you are stable and in good health.
What Will Happen at Your First Visit?
We know visiting a new practice can lead to some anxiety, so here is everything you need to know about your first appointment.
It is important for your dentist in San Francisco to be informed about any existing medical condition. Please fill in your forms and let us know of any ongoing health concerns, e.g. artificial joints, heart murmurs, diabetes, etc.
Please note: All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the first appointment.
On your first visit, Drs. Pasquinelli and Olivares will complete a comprehensive exam, which includes a consultation of your medical history, photographs, an oral exam, and one-on-one discussion.
In simple cases we will discuss our findings, the treatment recommended, and the alternatives at the end of the visit. More complex cases may require you to come back for a case consultation visit or have an over the phone discussion (no charge).
This fee includes the exam, diagnostic photos, treatment planning, and communicating with your dentist regarding your care.
